Hello! Today I decided to give the Mojo Monday sketch a try (MOJO135) http://www.mojomonday.blogspot.com/. I have to say this one was a little tricky for me. I really enjoyed using the paper pleating technique. This was my first time using that technique on a card and I love the dimension it gave the card.

When looking around on splitcoast today I noticed a posting about the retiring colors from Stampin up for their new catalog release. I think there are a lot that people will be sad to see go. However, this time around they are bringing back previously retired colors like WILD WASABI and BAJA BREEZE! I am jumping up and down as I loved these colors!!!

They also have announced the new "in" color names:

Daffodil Delight

Cajun Breeze

Early Espresso

Cherry Cobbler

and

Marina Mist

I can't wait to see the color swatches for these.

I might go and try to work on the Stamping Bella sketch for today...it is anything for Mother's day.

A New Image for me...from MFT's Pure Innocence line

I have to say I really love the PI images from MFT stamps. I have 10 of them and can't decide which one is cutest! Last night I got together with my friend and we decided to make a card from Jen's sketch for the week (http://www.iheart2stamp.com/). I really love this sketch! I know I will go to it again and again. As soon as I saw the image I was immediately drawn to the blue paper from Fresh Prints - Clothesline by Little Yellow Bicycle. The colors in this card remind me of the candy striper uniforms from the old days. I even took the time to design the inside of the card, (I don't normally do this)! I have seen a lot of people doing this lately on blogs and really think it gives the card a finished look. Hope you get a chance to play along with Jen's sketch and that you have a wonderful Sunday where ever you are!

Well...it's been quite some time since I have posted. So let's just start again! I am sharing a card today that I made for a very special friend for her birthday. I love the colors in this, it is a new piece from a my local scrapbook store. I added some lace for a vintage feel and some tuxedo ribbon (this is my favorite). I also wrapped some ribbon around the present and popped up the bow! I am using a fabulous image from http://www.mftstamps.com/. I even decorated the inside but forgot to take a picture. I hope you like it!

Hello! I wanted to pop in and say hello! I have had quite a busy week. My friend Kim had her little baby boy. His name is Elijah (Eli for short). He is the most precious, adorable, little thing I have ever seen. I am sure she will be posting pics of him on her blog soon (http://www.sewstampscrapbook.blogspot.com/). Also, I am trying to get some quilting done. I did get a chance to check out Jen Del Muro's sketch today and it rocks! http://www.iheart2stamp.com/ Make sure you check it out. Well it is raining here in Texas but that makes a nice hot cup of coffee and a sweatshirt the perfect way to start the day. I am sharing an MFT card I made a little while ago today. I had a little bit of trouble getting it to work but I love the colors! I also got the flowers stuck to my hand b/c I couldn't wait for the crystal effects to dry so I had to re-do the flowers. Oh well...I guess I will never learn to wait for something to dry completely before touching it. This week I got some new stamps in from Stampavie that I cannot wait to ink up! My birthday is Wednesday so I am hoping my husband will have my new scrap room done. I will show you some pics then. Hope you have a fantastic weekend!

Labor day weekend and a friend visiting from out of town kept me out of my crafting room but I still had tons of fun. Below I have a picture of the twice painted craft room to be. I started with a greenish color that looked like toothpaste and then got to this color which I love. It looks a light blue during the day and a light aqua at night. Can't wait! My husband is going to start assembly of the furniture tomorrow....YEAH! The card I am sharing is using one of my favorite sets ever (from MFT)-Rainy Days. I love this set and knew I had to have it the minute I saw it! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!!! Talk to you soon!

Hello! Sorry I haven't been blogging lately. Nothing like a little sinus infection to take you out of the game. Anyway, I haven't had much time to create this week so I am going to show you a card I made last week! This card was part of the August Verve challenge which asked you to pick a card from one of their design team members and case it. The twist was that if they used patterned paper you had to use solid and vice versa. I have had this card of Carole's favorited forever and just decided to do it! Her hands must have been wore out from the cutting but her card is just gorgeous! Art worthy! On another note, I hope you got a chance to check out MFT's new release! Awesome!!! They always come up with the best sentiments (they make me smile and laugh).

I know I have been mentioning the construction on my new scrapbook room...I can hardly wait till its done. I thought I would show you some of the pre-paint pictures and then the pictures with tinted primer. The ceiling is done now we just need the final paint coat, the furniture, the decorations, and to move and re-organize everything....Fun Fun Fun!

Hello! What a crazy weekend...Kim and I hung out twice and had a blast. We are trying to squeeze as many visits in as we can before the little one arrives. My husband spent all of Saturday painting the upstairs room to turn it into an expanded craft room! I am so excited I can barely stand it. It will probably be a few weeks before its done but I will show you updates along the way...

In the meantime, I am working on a quilting project so I probably won't get a lotta card making in this week. Plus my good friend from NC is coming in next weekend to visit so I will be hanging out with her and doing some shopping and gabbing!

The card I am sharing today is from the Bella sketch last week! The stamp is so cute and my friend let me borrow it since I don't own it! Thanks Kim! I used the sentiment from the latest and greatest Halloween set from MFT...Fill your pumpkins to the top! The sentiment is just perfect and so is the stamp! Love em!

Hello! I have been having such a great weekend...I had a party at my house yesterday for all my co-workers and it was just too too fun! Then my friend Kim came over last night and we went to the Scrappin Bunnies...we got enough to feel a little guilty. Two new nesties for me some awesome new paper from Cosmo and ribbon, ribbon, and more ribbon! Yeah! I cannot (let me repeat) cannot wait to stare at my new papers for the fourth time since last night and decide that I just simply cannot/will not/okay...someday will cut into them..... (feel my pain?)

Here is the card I made for Blogabella this week (Bellarific Friday)... I love this Henrietta Lulu! I used some old scenic route paper...and the sentiment came with the stamp. Seriously check out her site and get yourself one or three (www.stampingbella.com). I also entered the sketch challenge this week and won! Yeah...I can easily spend $15 online at Stamping Bella! No problem....in fact I am already figuring it out...but you have to spend $55 to get free shipping so might have to find a few more things!

I told the owner of our LSS that I was going to have to sign a temporary seperation agreement with her....I promised her it wouldn't lead to divorce but I probably wouldn't be seeing her for a little while...Boo!

Well hope you have a wonderful rest of the weekend...I am planning on partaking in my other favorite hobby Quilting...nothing like a baby about to enter the world to push you to the sewing machine to finish or start a baby quilt for a friend...don't worry Kim-e I will get it done...before your little one is 2---Just kidding.

Hello! I sure have been busy this week. I even made a card at the 11th hour last night to do the Blogabella challenge. I really loved the sketch and already kinda had an idea in mind so I thought I would give it a whirl. I will share it with you soon! Hello! Hope you are having a nice relaxing Sunday. I have been cleaning pretty much all weekend. I had my friend Kim come over last night and we made it our goal to get all four weeks of the verve challenges done....and we did it! Another bit of exciting news...my husband is considering letting me expand the craft room to our upstairs room for my birthday present which means MORE space....yeah and what is he hasn't quite put together yet is I will have to buy more stuff to utilize the room space. That can be our little secret though. By the way, did I tell you I went to my LSS and saw all the new nestabilities. (through labels 9). Check em out online they are fabo! My friend and I each got one to share...can't wait to use em.

Okay...now to my Verve card. This was for week 2. The assignment was to use the sketch and add an edge punch somewhere. I am really happy with the way this turned out and know just who I am going to send this to. I got to use my new 5/8 inch grosgrain ribbon from Stampin up! LOVE IT!

I went to my friend Kim's Wednesday night and she bought me an early birthday present...Grattytude Bella! I love this little stamp! As soon as I saw her on Stamping Bella's site I knew I wanted her! Are you ever drawn to stamps like that? Anyway, I only got this one card done that I am sharing with you done but I really, really, love it! The colors are so rich and I don't normally use a lot of yellow so this was a nice change for me! I am going to give this to a girl at work who always says "Attitudes are Contagious". She is super sweet and I think she will love this card!

Are you having a nice week? I got to go to dinner with my DH last night and we stopped at Hobby Lobby on the way. He got me the Circle and Scallop Nesties (large)! Yeah! I was really needing these. Isn't it the darndest thing the one nestability set I don't have seems to be the one you need for all the sketch challenges! I will be ready now... bring on the sketch challenges! Hello! I thought I would share this card I made for the Verve release last month. I really love this saying and it is defintely true. I love buying sentiment stamps...I feel you can never really have enough. Sometimes you need just that right saying to go with your card. For example my friend got me the new bella Grattytude...and she somes with the cutest sentiment...more on that tomorrow when I post the card! This week has been pretty busy. I got to work on some cards tonight but kinda got stuck on the second one. I hope to finish it up tomorrow night.

Hello! Today is TCP Tuesday! I can't wait to see the new sketch b/c my good friend just got me three of the new sets and I can't wait to play. Hello! It is finally Friday! Yeah....My friend is coming over tonight to hang out and we might sneak over to our lss to see if they have anything new. We can't stop buying paper it really might be a disease. Anyone else got paperidis? Today I am sharing the card I made for Bellarific Friday this week! Hello! This has been a whirlwind of a week. Working/working out and then trying to fit some creative time in between. I got a chance to make a few of the sketches for Verve and am really going to try and do one or two more tonight. The verve girls have so many opportunities to win prizes on their two year anniversary celebration. I have played several of the design team diva's games on Splitcoast you really should check them out. Each game gives you a chance to win a $25 certificate which will be announced on Friday when they release 7 new sets!!! Yeah! What I learned during this five sketch challenge Verve week is that I really need some more Verve stamps....

Hello! Well as I am typing this it is 11:34 pm on Tuesday night. I just spent the last four hours creating cards with my friend Kim! We had a blast and consequently got some things done too! I thought this would be a nice relaxing week till Verve came out with a contest/challenge that I just couldn't walk away from. Get five sketch challenges done by Friday. I am two in and I may have to just stop there but by golly I am going to make an attempt to get them done...and have fun along the way! I love the cards we made tonight. We have been on a roll! We really compliment each others creative style. When one of us hits a road block the other one helps...I love it!

Ok now for my card! This is one I made for the MFT challenge this week using only black and white and I slipped a tiny bit of gray in. The stamp coloring could have colors. It was totally fun!

Hello! Hope you all had a nice weekend. I hung with my friend Kim twice this weekend! Our LSS store is open till Midnight Friday's so we went there in the late evening on Friday to get some inspiration! We walked out thinking about Halloween with all the new fun papers that are coming out from CHA. So it wasn't much of a suprise that I took a Halloweeny twist on Jen Del Muro's Saturday sketch when we got back together on Saturday night. The title for today is sorta funny b/c I was writing down my card details for my post and asked Kim what the stamp was called and I thought she said "A little B**chy...I chuckled. Good thing I asked her for the stamp name again....that would have been embarassing.

Hello! I thought I would post this card today from Stamping Bella's sketch challenge that was due yesterday. I got it done right under the wire and am really pleased with the way it turned out. My friend Kim made an awesome card with this sketch. She scaled the card size down and it is just perfect! (http://www.sewstampscrapbook.blogspot.com/).

This week has been a busy one. I have been going to the gym in the evenings and then been bursting with energy till midnight so I haven't gotten too much sleep. This weekend...I will have to catch up! Yesterday I participated in the mayor's back to school volunteer event! The event was to provide school supplies, hair cuts, vision check ups, dental exams, and bookbags for the families and children who were in dire need of these things. I got to hand out the school supplies to the families. There is nothing better than the bright and shining smile of people when they get some much needed help! I am glad I got a chance to get involved in this and can't wait to do more volunteer work. It feels great to give back to the community and help others.

By the way...did you see the new MFT, Hanna Stamps, and Taylored releases? I am so excited! I really love the new halloween one from MFT...might have to get it sooner rather than later!

Creating...is always on my mind...

Good Morning! I made this card last weekend with my friend. I just love purple and thought this would be a fun girl to put on here. Queen Anne Bitty Bloom (Stamping Bella). Isn't she adorable? This week I have been having all kinds of creative visions of cards I want to make so I have tried something new with my friend. We put aside paper, stamps, and a sketch a few days before we get together and then we are ready to roll. This actually works well b/c your mind works the card vision over until you think of new ways to do the card even better. It is hard to get all of that going (color the images, assemble, eat gummy bears, find buttons or ribbon, and voila) in one night. Last night I went to my friend Kim's to make a few cards. Hello! Well I have three cards made up and ready to share! Yeah Me! I had a lot of fun this weekend creating, relaxing, and reading! This card is made using the Sugar Nellies (Daisy). I really like the way this turned out. It reminds me of my sister when we we were little sitting on the ground sniffing the dandelions. We actually have a picture of it...so adorable (she doesn't think so though).

Hello! Its hot as can be in TX right now. The heat can just zap the energy right out of you. I am trying to get motivated to make some cards but would rather go get a pedicure...who knows what the day will bring. I made this recipe card as a "make something flat" challenge from Hanna Stamps awhile ago! I love the way this turned out. I will have to try the cookie recipe out but I don't think I will be turning on the oven today.

I am excited about my upcoming trip home to see my family and of course my favorite local stamp store. Nothing but stamps well and some paper but mostly stamps! Yeah! Unfortnately with my trip right around the corner so is my friend's to travel home for three weeks! UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH what will I do without my stampin buddy to hang with on Saturday nights???? Hello! I am enjoying two days off but haven't gotten too much stamping done. I have started coloring the little rainy days girl from MFT stamps. She just came in the mail yesterday. I don't know why the mail comes so late when you are expecting something. I will be scoping out the UPS man today with my STAMPIN UP order (the in colors are on their way)!

The card I am sharing today I made for my husband. He spent most of the weekend weeding and cleaning the back yard like a trooper in the TX heat. The yard looks gorgeous. I did clean too but he let me stay inside! I really love this moose stamp and think the saying is just too perfect with it!

Also b/c I would rather wear wrinkles than iron...not my favorite chore.

Hello everyone...well I have been on a much needed break from blogging. I love doing it and am glad to be back. I am so excited about two new purchases that are hopefully on their way to my house. I purchased the in color pack and new ribbons from Stampin up! (YEAH) They look bright and fun and I can't wait to create with them. The new in color ribbons are POLKA DOTTED!!!! Yeah....a good polka dotted ribbon can always make you smile. I also ordered the newest set from My Favorite Things www.mftstamps.com and I have to say....I think it is going to be one of MY FAVORITE THINGS!!! Check out Susan's blog www.susiestampalot.blogspot.com for the awesome card she made with it. It is the card with the girl in the YELLOW raincoat with the saying "These Boots are Made for Splashing!". GREAT JOB SUSAN!!!!

Well...I know today is the big day for the Hanna Stamps design team deadline and I have two friends that are in the running! Four leaf clovers for both of you for the bestest of luck in getting the design team spot!!!

Hello! My title is cupcake days because in my family this is one of the busiest birthday weeks of the year. We have three birthdays in my family all in a row (Sister, Dad, and Grandma) and then mothers day the same week. I made this birthday card for the Who's That Girl challenge this week. It was a wild card using the colors pink, black, and white. I guess I was so tired Monday night that I didn't think that using Wild Card meant you still had to use one of the Who's the Girl set so I messed up and used the cupcake set from MFT... Oh well...silly me! Don't forget that MFT is having their release party tonight on Splitcoast! Yeah!

I found this ribbon at Hobby Lobby and love it. The colors are so bright and they fit this card pretty well I thought.

Hello everyone! There seems to be a lot going on this week! I just found out yesterday that I got on the main list to be a "swapper" for the TX card swap! I am so excited...now all I have to do is make and design 48 cards kits! Any ideas? Did you know...that MFT stamps is releasing Wednesday night or that Taylored expressions released this very morning? Also, Hanna Stamps released last night with their awesome new Riley fun in the sun style! Alright, on to the card post. I am sharing a sympathy card I made for a SU swap last week! I love the way this turned out! I love the elegance of this "Thoughts and Prayers set" by Stampin up. I knew I had to have it as soon as I saw it in the catalog. Well...the weekend is here which means time for stamping, chores, stamping, errands, and stamping! I am really excited b/c my friend is coming over and we just got some new dp to work with! The card I am sharing today is from the Splitcoast challenge last Thursday called ways to use it! This is my first time doing this challenge. This challenge called for using all white....I thought that would be fun since I hardly ever use white unless it is the stamped on part of the card. Well...Hampton Arts is hosting the Studio G Paper Piecing challenge #7 on there and you have two weeks to enter. You can find it under groups-then Studio G. Hello...well it is back to work for me today. I think my day off wore me out. I tried to get everything I wanted/had to do all in one day and find time to relax. Well not really...but I am taking a day off Monday to spend relaxing and to make it a three day weekend! I can't wait! This card was a dual challenge card! With so many challenges out there I like to kill two birds with one stone sometimes by making a card that covers both challenges. In this case I did the Hanna Stamps challenge (flowers and polka dots) my fav! and the Mojo Monday sketch. This sketch is fabulous. Hello! Well this has been a very busy week! I did sneak some time in to work on The Cat's Pajama's challenge for the week. It was brought to us by none other than Carolw Burrage! Hello everyone! Phew this week has been crazy. I just took a power nap before hitting the craft room to try and crank out two more cards for the Verve contest on Splitcoast. The contest is to make three cards using three featured sketches and make one seperate card using the color challenge. I am two in and two to go and they have to be posted by 7pm tomorrow. Coffee run anyone? I am excited to post this card I made for VSAPR2. (one of the sketches). I love the way it turned out. Everytime I make cards I typically grab for bold, bright colors, or polka dots. This card is soft and pretty. Hope you enjoy it!

I actually had trouble coloring the image b/c it was so bright and kinda did hurt my eyes! I figured the only alternative would have been coloring with my sunglasses on but that would have been pretty silly! It makes me laugh just picturing it! Hope you like the card! Hello! Well it was a very relaxing weekend! I got a lot of time to play and surf the net admiring other peoples creativity along the way. Today I am sharing an altered book I made this weekend! I used a blank book I got at Michael's for only a $1. You just have to love those dollar bins! I knew I wanted to use my new grunge board that I got on http://www.pezadoodle.com/ to write out the words GO GREEN and for the butterfly on the notebook! This was my first time using this grunge board and I really love it. The grunge board is really cool and I was able to color it using my markers but I am sure paint or inking it up with a stamp pad would work great too! I also knew I wanted to use my Branching out set from Taylored expressions b/c I just can't use this set enough. I love, love, love the owls! I pulled an assortment of ribbons from my stash and I was on my way. I am already using this notebook to keep track of all my crafting ideas and sketches.

I miss the old days. When we were kids Easter was one of my favorite holidays. I remember waking up and seeing my Easter basket on the mantel with my sisters right next to it and all the candies inside. Larger than everything else would be my hollow chocolate Easter bunny. Now I give my Easter candy away because I don't need it (calories/health/cavities) etc.((well most of it anyway :0)) Oh....to be a kid again!!!!

The card I am sharing today is from the Easter set from The Cats Pajamas. This was a card from the challenge three Tuesdays ago. Initially I wasn't real happy with the end product so I left it apart on my table for a week or so. My friend saw it and convinced me to finish it up! Thanks Kim! Hope you like it!

Hello everyone! Well I got a chance to hang out with my friend and make some cards (well 2) last night. I had a lot of fun though! The two challenges I worked on last night challenged me but in a good way. I did the TCP challenge you can check it out on www.susiestampalot.blogspot.com. It was bright but way too fun! I also did the Bella challenge b/c I was just dying to ink up a Khetto. These little Khetto images are so fun! I am going to have to get some of my own or move into my friends stamp studio...? Anyway...I am really excited b/c I took out some of my new Pez-a-Bling for this card. You may be wondering what that is....It is kinda like the dew drops but squares and they are glittery and gorgeous as a new/different kind of embellishment! You can get them in a single color set or a multi color set on www.pezadoodle.com. I have a mixture and will be using them on our new stamp releases real soon!

My card today is using Phoebe Khetto. I struggled with this b/c the paper I picked I absolutely am in love with (Girl Friday from Cosmo Cricket). It is so gorgeous. When I went to do the challenge the flower side of the paper didn't work but the lined side finally did! I love this Kiwi Kiss satin ribbon and I actually used one of the 500 flowers in my studio. I struggle with putting flowers on cards but I am trying to get better. I don't know why it just never fits for me. Okay...I will stop talking now b/c I have to go give Taylor (www.tayloredexpressions.blogspot.com) and Jen's (www.iheart2stampg.com)sketch a try and do some chores (yuck on the chores part).

I am so excited that the weekend is finally here! I get some more time to stamp, stamp, stamp! My friend Kim is coming over tonight and I am hoping we will have a real creative burst of energy! We have lots of new stamps to play with and some challenges to try! The card I am sharing with you today was made for the bella color challenge last week!

This card is using the Georginia Glamourpuss stamp and this oh so sweet saying from Coco Chanel. I love the way this turned out although I was very challenged by coloring on Very Vanilla paper rather than White for this one. I also made the corner with a scallop punch... the measurements are a little tricky but I got it to work finally. Hope you enjoy it!

TCP Challenge and Happy Saturday!

I saw the TCP challenge this week and didn't know what I would do for it. After looking through all my DP I found it! The perfect paper for the challenge (don't you just love that). I flipped through some splitcoast sketches and away I went. I am pretty happy with the way it turned out but feel it could have used something more. I am still working on figuring out how to do more and balance....It drives me crazy sometimes but I just have to keep learning how.

This was the picture to inspire the TCP challenge for Tuesday!

I am really excited that it is Saturday b/c that means two things MARCH MADNESS final four games (Go UNC!!!) and two days of sheer relaxation with no pressing plans.

I am off to start figuring out what stamps to create with today and watch the Sex in the City movie (AGAIN).

Hello everyone! I am glad it is almost the weekend so I have some downtime to create again! Being out of town last weekend really threw me for a loop. I like to try and post a couple times a week and I really had nothing done :0(. I did pull a few midnighters in an effort to get caught up but it didn't really work. The card I am sharing today is one of those late night creations. I made it with a Stamping Bella girl I picked up while I was out of town. I used black velvet ribbon along the bottom but it is hard to tell in the picture. I really love this saying by amuse. I think that it will work when you just wanna give a card to someone for no particular reason. I hope you enjoy it!

Hello! I am back.... Last night I stayed up way too late making cards and doing various other chores and now I am exhausted. Hope my cup of coffee does its thing this morning.

Well...I just got back from the Northeast and brought some goodies from my fav. stamping store there Angela's. Phew.....Kick back and relax is right...I am beat. Travel to the northeast ended up being a little more tiring than anticipated but I always find a second wind when I am back in my old stomping grounds. This blog title has multiple meanings for me...

The first is I started branching out with my hobby by applying for a design team and was selected! Yeah... I just found out I am going to be a designer for PEZ-A-Doodle designs. Well this title is certainly appropriate. I read the bella color challenge for last week that said make sure you have some purple and I took it too a whole new level. Even though the card is very feminine, I love it! I think it is dainty and elegant. It took me a while to figure out how to make the colors work for the cake but I used a very pale lilac for the icing! I found this plum ribbon at my LSS and even got it in chocolate. The ribbon is gorgeous IRL. This card reminds me that my friend Kim's birthday is tomorrow! Wish her a Happy Birthday if you have a minute...www.sewstampscrapbook.com.

Hello everyone! This title was so appropriate for me while writing this blog. Lately, I have been thinking about how many nice people I have met and the friends I have made through my love of stamping and scrapbooking. I am just so thrilled to get the chance to meet people that love to do the same things I do! Speaking of friends, please check out my friend Kim's blog www.sewstampscrapbook.blogspot.com, we have both been trying really hard to update daily these past two weeks....She has some great cards to share with you!

Yesterday, I hoped over to Susie's blog http://www.susiestampalot.blogspot.com/ after getting my what's up Wednesday e-mail from MFT stamps. The company released two stamps yesterday that are near and dear to Susan's heart as they were designed by her sister Sara. How awesome is that! Make sure you check them out!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the new release stamps from Taylor VanBruggen http://tayloredexpressions.blogspot.com/ called Branching out. I am a huge fan. I knew I wanted to use this set for Jen Del Muro's http://www.iheart2stamp.com/ Saturday sketch it just took me a little longer than I planned to put it together. I think it is the perfect card for a friend and I just love this sentiment!

This week is already moving along pretty quickly. Last night I worked on Jen Del Muro's Saturday sketch (www.iheart2stamp.com) and also started working on the Bella Sketch Challenge that was posted Tuesday on Splitcoast. I just found out my friend Kim was highlighted as Bella's card of the week! How exciting!!! She is super talented. You should check out her blog http://www.sewstampscrapbook.blogspot.com/. The card I am sharing with you today is from the Hanna card sketch last week! I love using my Riley's. I am really happy with the way the colors turned out on this. The card has a warm rustic feel to it!

Stamping bella is ready for her next project!

Hello! This weekend was a busy one. I got together with my friend on Friday and we stayed up till 2pm creating cards. We had a great time and again we walked away with some great cards.

The card I am sharing today is from Stamping Bella (http://www.stampingbella.com/). I made this to participate in the bella sketch challenge this week. I cannot get enough of these stamps and they are so fun to color. This bella is actually wearing a paper pieced dress. I added red to the colored image and then added a red button. I love red and I thought it would brighten this card up a bit! I have a lot more to post so stay tuned and have a great week!

It's Saturday and a little gloomy outside but the birdies have been outside chirping a song while I write this. Last night my friend Kim came over and we were productive making cards to participate in three challenges this week! Yeah! I love when she comes over b/c we both become inspired.

Today I am sharing a card I made with the "a little birdie told me" set from Stampin Up. My friend Paula has used this set a ton and every time I saw one of her cards I told myself I had to have this set! Inside...the card says "your under the weather"

A little sunshine on a cloudy day!

The weather has been gray and rainy but I don't mind. We don't get rain that often and I actually kind of like it.

This card I am sharing today is from Stamping Bella (http://www.stampingbella.com/). While I was cleaning my craft room two weeks ago I found some paper that would be perfect with this stamp and I started creating a layout in my head. I finally got a chance to sit down and put it together last Sunday! The card is bright and fun and I love the wild wasabi and regal rose with the Sultry paper pad by basic grey! The ribbon is wild wasabi striped by SU. I colored the image with copics.

Rain or Shine...I was paper piecing today!

Two days ago I got an e-mail from MFT stamps (http://www.mftstamps.com/) announcing their "Who's that Girl" challenge so I thought...why not I will try it! I have several of these sets and have used them over and over!

The challenge required you to paper piece a card. I thought about what layout, papers, & stamp set I wanted to use while the rain poured down outside my window. I started with the retail therapy set but couldn't quite get all those little pieces to work to my satisfaction so at 9:00pm I started anew. The challenge had to be uploaded by 11pm my time...

I grabbed my rain or shine set and went to work! I am very happy with the way it turned out. I wish I looked this fashionable in a rain storm!!!
I looked at the samples the other ladies did and they are fantastic. You can check them out by searching the MFT gallery on http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ using the code "MFTWTG25".

I also saw another challenge to use paper pleating today with MFT stamps so I may try my hand at that after I finish the cats pajama's challenge! Talk to you soon!

Well today is going to be a short post. Yesterday I went a little long on the post. I was so excited to share all the info with you.

I am planning on trying the cats pajama's challenge this week for the first time too! I only have one set from TCP so far but it is a good one!

The card I am sharing with you today is with my new favorite animal to stamp. An Owl....I thought people were a little hoo-crazy when the owl stamps started coming out. I think I may have said "I will not be buying any owl stamps". Well look where I am now...I made an owl card, I purchased Taylored expressions newest release with ... yep you guessed it owls. It's a sickness all of a sudden but they are so darn cute!

This title couldn't be more accurate for today. Last night I did a little research and note taking to share some of the things I have found during my blog hopping.

1st ...there are new wooden stamps at Michaels and they are "go green" friendly. They have a cute owl (yes I have jumped on the owl bandwagon my friend thinks its funny b/c I said I wouldn't buy an owl stamp and now I have bought two in one week) and a circle sentiment saying "go green". I really think they are so cute and they are only a buck. Who could argue?

2nd...I am obsessed with the new GORJUSS GIRLS from sugar nellie. This very talented artist Julie Campbell got me hooked on them with her beautiful card! You definitely will want to check out this card. http://www.stampedinhisimage.blogspot.com/ She posted it on Saturday March 7th so you may have to scroll down.

3rd...MFT stamps has all kinds of things going on.

Okay well my card for today is simple but I am happy with the way it turned out. I used some papers from my 6x6 pad Sunshine Lollipops by Sassafras. This paper pack has a whole lot of colors that are bright and fun so I think this worked out well. I am still working on my copic coloring but I am definitely having fun during the learning process. I bought these cute brown felt flowers at my LSS and love them. Hope you like the card!

Well Good Morning! As I am typing this I am trying to eat my oatmeal and then leave for work in the next 15 minutes. I am trying to stay devoted to updated my blog each day this week as I made 7 cards over the weekend to share!

Saturday sketch challenge

Hello! Well the Fed Ex man did arrive with my copics and they are BEAUTIFUL! I just re-organized them by color families. (I know I am obsessed). My friend Kim came over last night and we were so productive! We each made 5-6 cards and participated in three sketch challenges. I will be posting all week long so stay tuned.

This card is from Jen Del Muro's Saturday sketch (http://www.iheart2stamp.com/). This sketch was a little tricky for me but I think I got it to work. I picked up the 6x6 Flower Patch by making memories at a local scrapbook store and can't get enough of it! It is the perfect spring/Easter/baby paper and it has polka dots. What could be better. My first COPIC creation....

Hello everyone! Well it didn't take long for me to jump on the COPIC bandwagon. I took a copics class last week at my LSS with Jen Del Muro (http://www.iheart2stamp.com/) and I was hooked. I still have to practice a lot but that is half the fun. This card I am sharing today is a bella that reminds me a little of myself (well except for the stick skinny part). She is Readabella and I have been too! I am Twilighting it up with book two and loving this series.

I used the new basic grey paper Marrakech for this card with a craft base. I definitely recommend this basic grey 6x6 card. The colors are so vibrant! I have been dying to use the craft card stock. I can't tell you all the copic colors b/c I tried them a hundred different times till I got a combo I liked. This card layout is one that I had saved from a long time ago and is somewhat difficult to get the measurements right but I finally got it to work...

Let me know your thoughts. I am always open to suggestions!

By the way....my COPIC CIAO's are on their way!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My husband ROCKS!

This week has been going by very quickly. Not only has work been busy but I started the 1st book in the Twilight series. I can't put it down! I haven't done much stamping this week as I am on the mend from a sinus infection. I have a card to show you that I made last week. I love, love, love this stamp and saying from Inky Antics. This weekend I am going to a copics class taught by Jen Del Muro. I can't wait! I am finally going to jump on the COPIC bandwagon and figure out how to add some bright and beautiful color to my cards. Wish me luck!

Presidents day - and a day off!

Today I had a day off! I got the chance to sit around and make cards and relax. What could be better. I made several cards today but this one is my favorite. I finally inked up my stamping bella with the umbrella that has been calling my name. I am obsessed with wild wasabi paper and I am so afraid of running out but it is going to happen soon. The card says "rain or shine"...and on the inside "I'll be your umbrella".

Heart day has come and gone....

Well it is Sunday and the valentine mania has come and gone. I didn't do much for valentines day. My hubby and I decided to do dinner on a different night to avoid the chaos. Today I have a quick card to share with you....

I made this card for a friend using a stamp from inky antics. I absolutely love the saying. They had a few stamps like this but I really liked this one the best. I used pink pirouette and red riding hood to make the card.

Last night I made a few cards. This card is for a friend's relative that is in the hospital. She said she needed a card for a man and didn't want it to say "get well" just I'm thinking of you. I was totally up for the challenge. I made a mess in my scrapbook room but I think the end result was worth it!

Sometimes we all need a little "retail therapy"

I wanted to pop in to say a quick hello! It is late and almost time to turn in. I made this card yesterday using Jen Del Muro's sketch from Saturday. http://www.iheart2stamp.com/. I love the way this turned out.

I used the set from My Favorite things and then hand cut out the shoes and the purse and popped them up. I used Purely pomegranate and Kiwi Kiss as well as the new Raspberry Fizz paper from Stampin up. Love it! The inside of the card says "Good Friends are priceless" which is so true!

A lazy weekend full of reading and stamping!

This weekend has been fantastic. The weather is cool and windy which is unusual for TX. I spent most of the day yesterday crafting and reading "A Good Woman" by Danielle Steele. Great book if you haven't picked it up. I read half the book in one day if that is any indication.

Anyway...today I created two cards....

St. Patty's Day

On this card I used my favorite St. Patty's day moose from Hanna Stamps. I used some stickles for the gold in the pot and the shamrock in the hand. I used Wild Wasabi paper (print on print and solid) and black cardstock. I wish Wild Wasabi had beccome part of the permanent color collection. I stamped the inside with "Lucky me, I've found you".

I also made another card for someone who is expecting. I pulled out my Amy Butler pad and my favorite Shadow girls set from Stampin up and got to work. The kiwi kiss and blue bayou complemented this card so well....

Valentines Sweets anyone?

Hello! I am back. Well actually, I haven't gone anywhere. I have been creating things just haven't been posting. Life has been hectic. I am going to try and get back to sharing more this year. Here is a card my friend Kim and I designed. The card was a lot of work but well worth it. The paper is pink pirouette and red riding hood. We ran the red riding hood paper through the swiss dots cartridge and then used the new nestabilities tags 2 for the moose cut out. We also stamped using the canvas background stamp in red riding hood ink and then on the pink pirouette paper and then cut the couch out and paper pieced it around the moose. The inside says "Happy Valentines day". I can't wait to get it in the mail to my friends.

Valentines day is one of my favorite holidays. I just love sending cards and I used to love having the little valentines parties when I was in grade school and looking in my valentines mailbox.

Last night I made some valentines quilted coasters. Love em! I will post them in a bit.

This is my last post before I head off to California... I made this card for an employee that is getting promoted tomorrow. I really like the way this turned out. I used the patterned 6x6 paper and coordinating card stock from paper trey. This paper is awesome. I have used it twice already. I used the cuttlebug embossing folder with swirls for the front and some buttons I had laying around. I used the scallop punch from stampin up for the inside. It is so much easier than using the slit punch to create a scallop. The stamps as mentioned above are from Verve Visual. I have used these stamps a ton! They seem to be just right for any occasion.

September birthdays a plenty

Hello! I wanted to pop in and share this card I made for my good friend Stacey. I used the ChiChi Boulie stamp and then mixed it with the Bella Rose paper and the red riding hood red cardstock. I used a chocolate chip ribbon and my nestability rectangle to add something. I also used some diamond dust on the wings and cake. The card is really pretty IRL. I like the way this turned out! It seems like there are so many birthdays in September. I know of at least five right off the top of my head. It sure will keep me busy. Speaking of busy, I am getting ready to fly out to San Francisco for vacation with my husband this weekend. We are going to road trip around California. I imagine we will stop at some scrapbook stores along the way :0).
